The U.S. Department of War has immediately suspended CMMC Phase II, originally scheduled for November 10, 2026. Phase I self‑assessments and NIST SP 800‑171 Rev.2 requirements remain fully in effect.

米国「Department of War（戦争省）」は、2026年11月10日に発効予定だった CMMC Phase II（第三者認証）を即時停止しました。 ただし、Phase I の自己評価および NIST SP 800‑171 Rev.2 に基づくセキュリティ要求は継続します。

The suspension responds to evidence—such as SBA findings—that CMMC compliance costs were pushing innovative SMEs out of the DIB, slowing the delivery of critical capabilities to warfighters.

A 60‑day comprehensive review is underway, led by a newly formed CMMC Reform Task Force, aiming to redesign the framework into a more realistic and scalable cybersecurity model.
